Summary
I am a freelance illustrator student with a background in creative writing and marketing/communications. I have a degree in English from the University of Calgary and am currently in my final year of the Visual Communications Design(Illustration) program at Alberta University of the Arts. I specialize in children's book illustration, advertising illustration, scientific illustration and graphic novels. I thoroughly enjoy working with a combination of traditional media(especially pen and ink) and Adobe software. My favourite artists are Heinrich Kley, John Singer Sargent, Frank Frazetta, and Thomas Hart Benton. My other passion when it comes to my art is studying classical figure drawing, and I hope to have the opportunity to teach figurative art classes at the post secondary level in the years to come.
